Camp Crop A lot (CCAL)

I was so blessed to go to a scrap booking weekend during the first weekend in October, I absolutely loved it! (yes that is my girly apron I made, gotta love girly girls huh?)

You might ask humm what exactly do you do at a scrap booking weekend? it's not what you think... We talk, eat yummy food, learn new ideas, and talk with the new friends we made and if we have time we scrapbook and make cards and play with our/friends toys. It's a blast.

This is the 5th time Dara put this weekend together, it was a ton of fun. She rents out the christian camp on Pine Lake for the weekend and then we use the big community room hall for our "crop" (that is were all of us hang out and do what we do) and then when we get tiered we have a cabin to sleep in, but we don't sleep very long, so we don't really use the cabins. on top of all that, we can be pampered with a massage if wanted, we have a secret sister gift exchange and the meals are provided so we don't have to mess with going out side of the camp or bringing tons of food. It is such a fun time to learn new skills.

here is were we played around at, gotta love all the stuff we take a long to one of these weekends, I was under packed as you can tell from the picture of me with my stuff Every one had so many new toys it was so hard to find time to see all the fun stuff every one had!

this amazing lady truly knows her stuff she made this matt and frame! isn't it great!

Amber made this amazing Christmas house with her pattern paper using her Cricut! with now real directions, she just made it! see all those christmas lights, yep she made that by hand! wow!

I love clean layouts, they are the best! I especially loved this page since she made all of this by hand, no stickers! all from her Cricut! wow!

So coming soon will be more crafty things I made for you to see, cheek back soon to see my new found creativity and inspiration!

Little Miss pictures

Yes that is our little miss, I usually do not let other professionals take her pictures, as I feel that I do just as good as she does but when they offer a free session and two free 8x10 It's hard to resist.

there is a bit of story behind this, as some of you know I worked at a portrait studio owned by Life Touch called Flash I was the assistant manager and liked the possibility of taking that great portrait of a child, we had great customers. I did learn a ton from that job and know feel that I can take a great portrait of most any one if the occasion arises. So here I am 7 years later letting some one else do my job for my daughter, The photographer was all right but the photographer in side me thought that I would have done things differently than the way he did I can't blame him too much, he was new to the studio. I think he did a great job with Chloe and in turn we got two 8x10's

Gary'sBirthday

We had so much fun at party our family threw for him, here are the pictures, they explain it all!

My husband is amazing and a great dad for Chloe, we are so blessed to have him and celebrate his 30th Birthday!

The cake was so fun to make, yes that is curling ribbon on the cake, it turned out really cute, you can't tell but I put sprinkles on the side of the cake, a big mess later with sprinkles all over every were I was happy with it, I used 4 cake mixes, and 7 cups of frosting for the cake which is about right for the 10 inch cake and the 5x7 oval cake on top. want a Hawkeye topper for your cake? Hy-Vee has them, they can order them from Bakery Crafts although they need like a month notice, I had to order mine like the first of August, and it was still to late, so we had it shiped from an Iowa City Hy-Vee, luckily we got it for the big party
We had a lot of other food, but you can see how big this cake is! my best decorated cake so far I think!

We love you Gary and I am so happy we can celebrate your milestones!

Weddings are always so much fun to attend. Chloe loves to dance, she loves twirling and twisting and bouncing during the reception.

Chloe gives out kisses to any one she is close to, so these days we have been getting a lot of kisses, Daddy is so lucky!
this is such a great shot that I was able to take since Grandma C just got her hair done for the wedding and J. looks so proud with his Grandma

I had to throw this one in... this little guy was chomping on some off our many weeds we have growing I expecially like how her ears are so perked up... Eat as much as you like... she was having her a nice meal, she stayed for 20 min. or so.

iowa curtains

I was so excited when mother-inlaw brought home iowa striped fabric from a garage sale, and then said here make something out of it... My first thought was, hum what am I going to make with it? Bibs came to mind, and them she said you know curtains might work well... So with some hems ive made mt secound set of curtains....
Yep, a hawkeye fan's dream... don't want the fabric to show on the other side? I lined the curtain with a white sheet cut to sized so you don't see the fabric on the outside, yep, mother-inlaw thought of that...Thanks a ton, I still have a ton of this fabric left if any one needs some just let me know.... I don't really know what else I will use it for

Don't they look good?

Little old me

I fell in love with this picture of me, but it had some issues that I had to fix so...

I changed the issues and now I have something that I can print, I am really enjoying restoring my photo's. I hope to post more soon... Wasn't I cute?
