spring wishes

I love spring, it's my favorite time of year except for Christmas, I just wanted to pass this little parable that I love, it reminds me of spring and why I love it. Chloe is now 11 lb! she's growing so fast!

Enjoy the story I hope it brightens your day

Parable of the Butterfly

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.

Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.

The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us.

We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!

Have a happy Easter and enjoy the nicer weather!

last two weeks

here are Chloe's blessing pics and some other of my favorite pictures.

Things I am learning as a new mom is:
Is sleeping is worth more to me anything else. diapers need to be put on right, fast and wipe warmers are worth the money. I am a Chloe diet, what upsets her tummy I pay for later, and what worked last hour to keep her from being fussy isn't even close to what she wants in the next hour, if nothing helps then pray and sing songs. Find a good show you like on dvd to watch when there is nothing good on tv, (Im on season 3 of friends) I recommend friends, after I am done with the series I will start on Gilmore Girls.then hopefully I will be able to sleep through the night.

pictures of Chloe

Chloe is a month old! So far she can go without feeding for four hours, yay for sleep, she has fussy times from 8pm to 10 or from 10 pm to midnight, we hope for the the 8-10. she loves to smile when she is being talked to and loves to be held all the time. She had her blessing last Sunday at church, she was awake and didn't make a sound, what a good little girl! Daddy gave her, her blessing and said that she will be blessed with knowledge, and strength and that she will find joy in the gospel like her parents have found, and that she is always surrounded with people who love and care about her.
