Chloe

Chloe is doing well, I wish so much that I can put up pictures but for now we will just have to keep you up dated with out pictures. She is already growing up!She came home wearing premie diapers, and now in newborn diapers, and wearing newborn clothes! she now weighs 7.3 she gained a whole pound since she left the hospital last Sunday. she likes to stay up at night and sleep during the day, so we sleep when we can. My recovery from my C-section is going well, I still can't do everyday things but it's getting better.

Our move went well, I am having a little bit of a hard time adjusting to being a mom and living in a new place, with all of our stuff packed up but doing all right. Gary is enjoying his rotation in Mason City,we miss him during the week but it's manageable with family to help us out.

Look for pictures to come soon, in the meantime I love phone calls and visits if you are in the area, hope to be posting more soon, and often.

Chloe Lynn Christensen

Finally the update that everyone has been waiting for...

Chloe decided to grace us with her presence at 10:23pm on February 5th, 2009. She weighed 6lbs 10oz and measured about 20 inches in length. Mother and baby are both recuperating quite nicely.

I will let Lisa update again soon with any additional details she wants to include, but I thought I would take this time (when both are napping) to put up the announcement, and some pictures.

Enjoy - Gary

Labor

So Monday I went to the doctor, and told me that I can come back 6:30 am on Thursday to get induced, however you might go into labor earlier. So to trips to the hospital as false alarms later I have finally decided that there is no way she is coming... I could give you more details but in a nut shell, she is so ready but I physically am not ready to go into labor. So by the end of the week Chloe will be here. Lets hope early afternoon on Thursday, I know wishful thinking but I can dream.

So this is the plan:

Chloe comes on Thursday or Friday
Saturday Gary and helpers (family and friends) help move all the rest of our stuff to Des Moines.
Saturday if everything works out I get discharged on Saturday and we drive to Des Moines.
For our friends that are in Iowa City we will have Chloe's baby blessing on March 1st. during sacrament at church, all are invited, members and non members of our church, if you have questions just ask us. As bitter sweet this is, we look forward to see you all one last time in Iowa City.

We will see what tomorrow will bring!
